👋 Hey there, I'm Amelia!

Are you ready to sew something you'll actually want to wear?

I'm a mom of five, a lifelong maker, and the founder of Mother Sews Best, where I help women sew clothing that fits, feels good, and makes them proud.

Sewing used to overwhelm me too- especially knit fabric. But once I learned how to sew it confidently, my whole wardrobe changed... and so did my confidence.

Now I teach simple, step-by-step methods to help you sew clothes you love, even if you've never touched knit fabric before.

Inside Sewing Week, I'll walk you through every step of making your first (or fiftieth!) knit dress using the machine you already have. You don't need a serger. You don't need to be perfect. You just need to start!

🧵 That you can finally sew knit fabric without your machine stretching it out, eating the edges, or making you want to chuck your machine in the garbage.

🧵 What stitch settings, needles, and thread actually work for knit fabrics.

🧵 That you didn't just follow a pattern, you adjusted it to fit your body, and the result actually feels good to wear

🧵 That your skills aren't stuck- you are getting better, and you're proving it with every stitch.

🧵 That sewing doesn't have to feel frustrating or lonely anymore; it can feel creative, satisfying, and SO rewarding!

🧵 That you finally finished something just for you, and it doesn't look "homemade"... it looks professional and polished and is going to impress all your friends. 😉
This time, sewing isn't going to end with another half-finished project stuffed in a drawer; it ends with you, standing in front of a mirror, smiling at what you made.
We've partnered with some of our favorite sewing brands to bring you fun, creative, and seriously swoon-worthy prizes all week long! From fabric bundles to pattern shop credits, these giveaways are our way of cheering you on as you sew!

Here are the amazing brands participating:

✨ Winners will be drawn throughout the week- just show up, share your progress in the group, and you're entered!

Finishing your dress is a win all on its own... but prizes make it even sweeter!

Don't just take my word for it...
IS THIS YOU?
• I've had knit fabric in my stash forever, but I'm too nervous to actually cut into it.

• I want to sew clothes I'll wear, but everything I make just feels... off.

• I've followed sewing tutorials before, but I still don't feel confident when it comes to fit.

• I'm tired of making things that end up in the back of the closet.
• I struggle with perfectionism and feel frustrated when my sewing doesn't look "right."

• I have a sewing machine, but I'm not totally sure I'm using it the best way.

• I've always wanted to sew my own clothes- but I don't know where to start.

• I'm ready to do something creative just for me.
If any of this feels familiar,

Nope! I'll show you exactly how to sew knit fabric using the sewing machine you already have.

🎓 Do I need to be experienced?
You don't need to be advanced, but you should know how to thread your machine and use its basic functions. If you're brand new, I recommend going through my mini course, Ready Set Sew, to get prepped.

🧵 What are we making?
The Margo Dress from Sustainable Cloth Co. (Pattern included!) It's comfy, flattering, and beginner-friendly—with some fun skill-builders woven in.

💰 How much does it cost again?
Just $10 for the entire week!

BUT I'M SOOOO BUSY!
Your time is valuable. I've created this week for the busy woman, whether you are a mom or have a full time job that you are working around, this is for you. I know there are 20 other things you could spend your time on, but I can promise this will be worth every second.

If you can devote 30 minutes a day, by the end of the week you'll have a dress you love and skills that will enable you to fill your closet with knit clothes that fit perfectly!

Mother's Day is coming up, so treat this week as a gift to yourself- and ask your family to view your sewing time as part of that gift. It's a chance to grow your skills, spend time doing something that's just for you, and feel proud of what you can create!

The Margo pattern has LOTS of options (which you can sew up later, since the pattern is yours to keep!), but during this workshop we'll be sewing the lined, sleeved version. You can choose which length you want, Peplum Top, Knee Length Dress, or Ballerina Length Dress!
How long will I have access to the materials?
The videos will be available until May 20, 2025, but the pattern is yours to keep forever!
